The First Thing That Came to My Mind

Image

The first thing that came to my mind
wasn’t something beautiful.

It wasn’t something impressive.

It wasn’t even something I would usually say out loud.

It was this:

“I’m tired.”

Not physically

Not the kind of tired sleep fixes.

Not the kind that disappears after a break.

A different kind.

The kind that sits quietly in your thoughts.

The kind you don’t talk about

Tired of thinking so much.
Tired of replaying conversations.
Tired of trying to understand everything.

Tired of being the one who adjusts.
The one who explains.
The one who stays calm.

The part I don’t say often

Sometimes I wish I could just

stop.

Stop thinking.
Stop analyzing.
Stop feeling everything so deeply.

Just exist for a moment
without questioning everything.

And then I feel guilty for it

Because nothing is “wrong.”

Life is okay.

Things are manageable.

So why do I feel this way?

And then I start overthinking that too.

The truth behind the thought

Maybe being tired doesn’t mean something is broken.

Maybe it just means
I’ve been carrying too much internally.

Too many thoughts.
Too many emotions.
Too many unspoken things.

A small realization

The first thing that comes to your mind
is usually the most honest one.

Not filtered.
Not polished.
Not made to sound right.

Just real.

And maybe instead of ignoring it,
we should listen to it a little more.

Because sometimes,
one simple thought
says more than everything we try to explain.
